Join us as we celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday with a talk exploring how Emma cleverly reimagines Pride and Prejudice—with characters and plots flipped to show the different roles for men and women in the Regency era. We’ll also see how other authors like Shakespeare and Richardson may have inspired Austen’s playful twist.
Regency era refreshments will be served.
Presented by Karenleigh A. Overmann, an Austen enthusiast and director at the Center for Cognitive Archaeology at UCCS.
